Nanotechnology at work: How Photocatalytic Oxidation (TiO2) Works.... Photocatalytic oxidation is achieved when you combine UVC spectrum rays with a TiO2 and metalic compound coated surface. TiO2 refers to Titanium Oxide. This process creates free nano sized hydroxyl radicals and super-oxide ions, which are highly reactive electrons.
